It’s been great to have a straight and simple trip up to Copenhagen, and to catch up with Brian and Alex, with whom we are staying for 2 nights. Had a great dinner out at the Marina at Niva, complete with Niki actually putting her feet in the sea…
Cycled in to Copenhagen today, trusting the Bosch Nyon to get us there and back safely. The Nyon is the controller I have on my e-mountain bike, and which, sort of, got Lewis and myself from Geneva to Lisbon, with a couple of detours. A quick digression: Picture this – the Nyon takes us from a reasonable road to a small road to a footpath to … a track. At some point, I’m off the saddle, walking down the steepest track you can imagine. Then it gets steeper, I’m sliding off the edge of the hill, and Lewis drops his bike to dive and grab the back end of the trailer before I slide off the edge…. I love technology, and the navigation aids are awesome, but…
So the Nyon took us to Copenhagen without a fault. On the return, though, the screen shut down and left us stuck 30km away from our van. Niki, though, given her ongoing training and experience, took this in her stride and delivered us without a hiccup – brilliant!
Copenhagen was just gorgeous. Lots of life, fascinating architecture, street music, outside life:
